Born To Hack

Well John forgot to bring the sketches to the first page to me today. So it looks like I’m working on side projects again.

This project was started a long time ago, but not finished until just recently. Once I started working on the comic pages it was no question that “DarkMethod” had to take priority.

You’ll notice that compared to our more recent work, the detail is not as defined on this image. This is because when John drew it he did not anticipate me tracing it. Here is the original drawing.

John’s two sentences: This character is very different in a way. She has absolutely no powers or super powers, but she is a pure genius who has an unlimited capacity of hacking into anything including technology that does not originate from her own planet. The “gun” in her hand is not literally a gun, its a firearm specifically designed by her that shoots an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) blast, so the “gun” never really runs out of “ammunition” so to speak. On a side note, Hack also has a sister whom you will see and hear about soon as well. :)

  1. why is this picture so bright compared to the others?

    • Well when I was coloring this image I first did the skin tone and her clothing. I wanted to make her clothing a brighter color (blues, greens, yellows) to symbolize her being a good character in the comic. So I wanted to stay away from the darker colors (red, purple, and blacks). After John and I agreed the blue looked good we moved on to the background. It just seemed that the background looked nice to the eye when we put in the fade from a yellow to a peach color. I didn’t use any special technique to why I choose these colors. It just seemed to all work out in the end.

The lightness in general of the picture though I think is mainly due because she is a good character in the comic opposed to being an evil one.

  2. besides commenting on how all the girls seem to have the same features: which i am sure you know…

I think if i were coloring, i would have made her a blonde: why? because like Danny said, the picture is much more bright, but also i haven’t seen a blonde girl yet…

    anyway, good job guys
p.s. i should be dubbed number one fan :]

    • We have a blonde girl done but we are still working on the background of that picture. I think we might hold off on posting another girl for awhile. We don’t want to give people the wrong idea of what we are doing with PanthaGraphics. John just gave me the 2nd page of the comic and that of course takes priority and our focus.

  3. Good job my brotha…just to let you all know John an I are brothers even though you haven’t seen me yet, but hopefully he’ll introduce me to you guys!!!:) This drawing looks the same as the rest bro!!!:) But good job on the detail I give you props for that!!

    • Thank you. :) I don’t entirely know what you mean by saying this drawing looks the same as the rest, but I’ll try to improve it. (whatever it is that I need to improve that is) :) Thanks for commenting though bro.
P.S: Hey just keep in mind that when you comment, try not to use “txt message” language

  4. Best of regards!!!
